Join the Cub Club
Big creativity for little bears! The Cub Club is the official schools and community groups program for A Beary Big Trail, giving local groups the opportunity to be part of one of the most exciting community art projects ever held across the Darling Downs.
Selected schools, early learning centres and community organisations will receive their own blank Cub sculpture to design, paint and transform into a unique work of art. Each Cub will celebrate the people, places and stories that make our region special while helping commemorate 20 years of LifeFlight’s lifesaving service in the Darling Downs.
Who can join the Cub Club?
Expressions of interest are open to:
– Schools
– Early learning centres
– Youth organisations
– Sporting clubs
– Disability support organisations
– Arts organisations
– Community groups
Places are limited and applications will be assessed to ensure a diverse representation of communities across the Darling Downs.
What’s involved?
Participating groups will:
Receive a blank Cub sculpture and creative inspiration pack
Design and paint their own Cub artwork
Take part in fun fundraising activities supporting LifeFlight
Have their Cub displayed as part of a special public exhibition during A Beary Big Trail
Keep their Cub after the Trail as a lasting legacy piece for their school or organisation
Hands-on creative learning
Connection to real-world impact
Participation in a public exhibition
Engagement with LifeFlight’s education initiatives
